About Us
For us, the Law is about protecting and safeguarding the rights and values our clients have created
Lantos Law
Our firm’s managing partner, Judit Lantos was a founding partner of Sár & Partners Law Firm in 1998, where she worked as a partner for 20 years until 2018, closely cooperating with Danubia Patent and Law Office, one of Hungary’s leading intellectual property firms.
From 2018, our firm continued its activity within Danubia Legal, where she was a founding partner and managing partner until 2022.
In 2022, our firm separated from the Danubia group and has since operated as a boutique law firm under the brand name Lantos Law.
Our approach and work ethos are guided by a commitment to help our clients find the best solutions for their business or personal interests—and to carefully protect and safeguard those solutions.
This is why we have chosen our firm’s motto:
Our Philosophy
Our firm’s founder consciously chose to specialize in these areas of law. These topics require a unique perspective, and thanks to her experience and personality, she approaches her work with a distinctive problem-solving attitude, providing the best possible support to her clients.
What our practice areas have in common
Intellectual property is created much like children: they require protection and care even before their creation, and throughout their entire lifecycle, during their protection period. Similarly, in family law, the protection of children and their best interests are at the heart of a good professional’s focus, while also fully considering the interests of the parents.
For us, both intellectual property law and family law mean creating something valuable — creating value — and then protecting and safeguarding it.
Our ethos is also reflected in our logo. Our founder’s monogram (JL) also hints at the fact that our firm considers both Justice and Law, meaning we always look out for our clients’ interests alongside the legal aspects, which often leads to fairer, more practical solutions. Our clients can also feel secure about their intellectual property, business, or family matters because the many small pearls forming the circle in our logo symbolize both the values important to our clients and to us, as well as the diverse knowledge and tools we use on behalf of our clients.
International Engagement
Our firm has an extensive international involvement.
Our founder was one of the creators and formerly Chair of the WIPO-Link Committee of ECTA (European Communities Trademark Association) and currently serves as the Chair of the Mediation Committee of ECTA. She has also delivered numerous trademark-related presentations at both international and domestic conferences.
She is proud to have initiated the idea for the European Trademark and Design Education Programme established by EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office) in Alicante. Since 2018, this programme has been dedicated to training trademark and design professionals across the European Union. Judit is also a member of the Programme’s Advisory Committee on behalf of ECTA.
Our founder is committed to resolving legal disputes—where possible—through peaceful, out-of-court solutions. She is a regular lecturer at Orac Academy in Hungary, where she provides continuing education for lawyers and legal professionals in the fields of communication, conflict resolution, mediation, and interest-based problem-solving. As Chair of the Mediation Committee of ECTA, she promotes this same mindset among colleagues from many countries, and she regularly speaks on these topics at international conferences.

Our professional ethos is further supported by numerous international recognitions and appointments.
