Judit Lantos
Judit Lantos has been a practicing attorney at law since 1998. Her main area of expertise is intellectual property law, with a special focus on trademark law. In addition to her work in other fields of IP law, including designs, copyright, patents, trade secrets and competition law, she also handles matters in family law and civil law.
Professional Experience
Judit has a significant experience in trademark law. Her practice includes filing national, EU and international trademark applications, providing legal advice, managing trademark portfolios for Hungarian and international companies, drafting license and coexistence agreements, conducting trademark searches, and representing clients in infringement litigation, opposition, cancellation, and non-use revocation proceedings, as well as in customs procedures related to IP rights and domain name matters, including alternative dispute resolution.
She was a founding and later managing partner at a law firm closely cooperating with one of Hungary’s largest intellectual property firms, where she worked for 24 years. During this time, she gained in-depth expertise in the field of intellectual property law and provided legal services to numerous international and domestic multinational companies. In 2022, she established her own law firm, which operates under the brand name Lantos Law.
In addition to IP law, Judit has developed significant expertise in family law. She offers legal advice and representation in divorce proceedings and related matters, such as child custody, visitation rights, child support and use of the family home, as well as in the division of marital property and the preparation of prenuptial and matrimonial property agreements. In her work, she places particular emphasis on protecting the best interests of children. She also acts as a mediator in these matters.
As a mediator, Judit is listed in the official register of mediators of the Hungarian Ministry of Justice, the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center, and the Budapest Bar Association. Her qualifications in mediation and coaching enable her to support clients in finding the best possible solution, both as a lawyer and as a mediator. Her additional background in relationship coaching and relationship mediation further enhances her ability to handle family law cases with a broader set of tools and a strong focus on achieving constructive, sustainable outcomes.
Judit is recognized in Hungary as a Gold Individual ranked trademark attorney in WTR 1000 (World Trademark Review), a highly renown international publication.
